Information about Burlington School District's Master Plan
School & City Move Forward
In partnership with the City, the Burlington Schools will form a joint task force including the Superindentent, School Business Manager, School Facilities Manager, the Mayor, City Treasurer and City Public Works Director to:

  • receive and review an independent analysis of the city's bonding capacity
  • review and prioritize city and school infrastructure needs side-by-side
  • evaluate alternative proposals to develop an integrated plan of city-school capital improvements
  • report progress monthly to a joint meeting of the City Finance Board and the School Board Facilities Committee and/or School Board Finance Committee

The first joint city-school administrative team meeting is scheduled for the week of October 27th.  The target date for presentation of recommendations is January 5th, 2009.
